Matonya is flamboyant musician, who a few years ago was a force to reckon with in East Africa with chart-topping hits such as Vaileti , Anita and Spare Tairi, Zilipendwa among others tracks.
Recently Matonya relocated to kenya joining Mr Nice, of the Fagilia fame, who has been living in the country trying to revive his once glamorous career to no avail.
Just a day after wasafi family lead by Diamond Platnumz released a song dubbed Zilipendwa, Matonya has bitterly blamed wasafi team, arguing that they could have consulted him. He is now pleading for Tanzanian National Arts Council (BASATA) to take necessary actions.
