Kenya has today on Saturday 30th recorded 143 Covid-19 cases, says Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman.
The CAS announced that 143 new covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours bringing total tally in the country to 1888.
“We have today tested 2959 samples, out of these 143 have tested positive which brings the total case load of confirmed cases in the country to 1888. All the 143 cases are Kenyans; 110 – male, 33 – female,” stated the CAS.
In terms of distribution per county, the CS announced that; Nairobi (86) Mombasa (25) Uasin Gishu (11) Kiambu (6) Busia (3) Kwale (3) Migori (3) Kajiado (1) Kisii(1) Garissa (1) Isiolo(1) Makueni (1) Kericho (1).
Kericho becomes the latest County to record a case.
Recoveries and Deaths
The good news is that 26 patients were discharged bringing the total number of recoveries to 464
The CAS also noted that one more patient succumbed to the virus and this brings the total fatalities to 63.
He also noted with concern that a lot of things need to be done in order to flatten the curve of infections.
“The situation on the ground suggests that a lot more needs to be done by each and every one of us to flatten the infection curve…there is no magic bullet to beat the virus, the solution is to contain it and starve it of what nourishes it” said CAS Rashid Aman.
