Recoveries and fatalities

On a positive note, the health CAS Dr. Aman announced that for the first time since the first covid-19 case was reported, more recoveries were registered.

“Since our last update I’m pleased to inform you that today we have registered the highest number of people who have recovered from the disease; we have discharged 32 people from hospital. This now brings to 239 the total number of recoveries…” – CAS Rashid Aman.

Sadly, Dr. Aman further noted that Covid-19 death-toll has risen to 32 as two more patients succumb to the virus.

Community transmission

Health Ministry Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman said that community transmissions had also risen and proven the most challenging in the containment of coronavirus in the country.

“Community transmission is the most challenging to contain. All our efforts are aimed at containing that spread. Let us continue to observe the measures in place so that we can flatten our curve,” said Mr. Rashid.
