The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) will train 4,200 training teachers in a bid to prepare them to become examiners for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Teachers taking learners through Kiswahili subject in secondary schools have received the highest chunk of the training slots (450), while History and Government examiners and Agriculture paper 1 examiners received few training slots(70).
Tutors who have already trained as examiners and are in KNEC database need not to apply for the training.
The training will run for seven days starting 3rd October to 9th October 2021. Interested teachers have up to 27 September 2021 to make their applications online.
Applicants are required to apply online via knec portal.
