Kakamega County is a county that is located in the Western Region of Kenya . The county, Kakamega County, has an area of 3,224.9 KM² and as per the 2019 Census, the population of Kakamega County was one million eight hundred and sixty seven thousand five hundred and seventy nine (1,867,579) people.
In the 2017 General Elections, Kakamega County had a total number of seven hundred and forty three thousand nine hundred and twenty nine (743,929) registered voters.
The Governor of Kakamega County is H.E Wycliffe Oparanya and the Kakamega County senator is Hon. Cleophas Malala . The Women Representative of Kakamega County is H.E Muhanda Elsie Busihile.
Kakamega County is divided into twelve (12) constituencies and sixty (60) electoral wards. The Constituencies include Lugari, Likuyani, Malava, Matungu, Butere, Lurambi, Navakholo, Mumias East, Mumias West, Khwisero, Shinyalu and Ikolomani. Lugari Constituency
Hon. Ayub Savula Angatia is the current Lugari Constituency Member of Parliament. Lugari Constituency has six wards which include; Mautuma, Lugari, Lumakanda, Chekalini, Chevaywa and Lawandeti. It had 77,001 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Likuyani Constituency
Likuyani Constituency is represented Hon. Enoch Wamalwa Kibuguchy. It has five wards which include; Likuyani, Sango, Kongoni, Nzoia and Sinoko. The Constituency had 63,311 registered voters in the 2017 elections.
Malava Constituency
The Member of Parliament of Malava Constituency is Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi. The Constituency has seven wards which include; West Kabras, Chemuche East, Kabras, Butali/Chegulo, Manda-Shivanga, Shirugu-Mugai, South Kabras. It had 82,136 voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Lurambi Constituency
Hon. Titus Khamala Mukhwana is the Lurambi parliamentary representative. Its wards are seven and they include; Butsotso East, Butsotso South, Butsotso Central, Sheywe, Mahiakalo and Shirere. It had 80,214 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Navakholo Constituency
Hon. Emmanuel Wangwe is the current Navakholo Constituency Member of Parliament. Navakholo Constituency has five wards which include; Ingostse-Mathia, Shinoyi-Shikomari, Esumeyia, Bunyala West, bunyal East and Bunyala Central. It had 53,620 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Mumias West Constituency
The Member of Parliament of Mumias West Constituency is Hon. Johnson Manya Naicca. The Constituency has four wards which include; Mumias Central, Mumias North, Etenje and Musanda. It had 47,492 voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Mumias East Constituency
The Member of Parliament of Mumias East Constituency is Hon. Benjamin Jomo Washiali. The Constituency has three wards which include; Lusheya/Lubinu, Malaha/Isongo/Makunga and East Wanga . It had 45,380 voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Matungu Constituency
Hon. Peter Malundu is the current Matungu Constituency Member of Parliament. Matungu Constituency has five wards which include; Koyonzo, Kholera, Khalaba, Mayoni and Namamali. It had 61,728 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Butere Constituency
Butere Constituency is represented Hon. Nicholas Scott Tindi Mwale. It has five wards which include; Marama West, Marama Central, Marenyo-Shianda, Maram North and Marama South. The Constituency had 62,956 registered voters in the 2017 elections.
Khwisero Constituency
The Member of Parliament of Khwisero Constituency is Hon. Benjamin A. Andanyi. The Constituency has four wards which include; Kisa North, Kisa East, Kisa West and Kisa Cnetral . It had 48,920 voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Shinyalu Constituency
Hon. Justus Kizito Mugali is the Shinyalu parliamentary representative. Its wards are seven and they include; 6 Isukha North, Murhanda, Isukha Central, Isukha South, Sukha East and Isukha West. It had 71,272 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Ikolomani Constituency
